Biography
Bismita Choudhury is an enthusiastic educator and researcher specializing in Image Processing, Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Pattern Recognition.
She earned her Ph.D. from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, where her research focused on retinal abnormality analysis and developing deep learning models for predicting vascular diseases. After completing her Ph.D., Bismita served as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at a university in Assam, India, where she contributed to teaching and research in her areas of expertise.
Most recently, she completed her postdoctoral research at West Virginia University, where she developed algorithms to analyze and predict the quality of forensic crime-scene footwear impressions using advanced statistical and deep learning models. Following her postdoctoral work, Bismita joined Washington State University’s Global Campus as an Assistant Professor in Data Analytics. She is dedicated to advancing knowledge in her field and inspiring the next generation of learners.
